Health Plans
Independent Health provides a variety of plans and services to individuals and groups in Western New York and throughout the country. All of our plans encourage prevention. We even have lifestyle plans that include exercise programs and alternative therapies.
Among our plans we offer:
-FlexFit and FlexFit Select: three plans in one, with three different options that appeal to three different lifestyles:
_The Active Option appeals to the on-the-go members. Comprehensive plan that includes a debit card for up to $250 toward a fitness club membership.
-The Family Option appeals to family subscribers with a debit card for up to $250 toward family oriented fitness activities:
-Martial arts classes for kids, after-school activities and programs, swim lessons, etc.
-Summer camp at affiliated providers
-as well as a fitness club membership
The Independent option appeals to people for whom alternative therapies are important. It includes a $250 debit card that can be used for:
Yoga, tai chi, vitamins, herbs, Pilates, dieting consultation, etc.
Members of FlexFit may use their debit cards at participating locations. A list of those locations is available at www.independenthealth.com/health plans.
·SilverSneakers: basic fitness center membership available at no additional cost to the premium. Available only to our Medicare Advantage plan members. Independent Health’s Medicare Advantage plans, such as Encompass 65 and Medicare Encompass, are offered to Medicare beneficiaries with Parts A and B of Medicare.
